The Cross

The province of Bataan, the last stronghold of the Filipino and American soldiers.

Mt. Samat National Shrine or Dambana ng Kagitingan was built to give honor, respect and recognition to the Filipino and American heroes who fought and died for our freedom.

The cross is considered to be the second tallest cross with a height of 92 meters. The base of the cross is filled with sculptures that represents the events that happened in our country. It is located near the summit of Mt. Samat in the town of Pilar.
